Girl, you have not been defeated.
I know it feels that way as you sit here scrolling through website after website trying to find the answer when you don’t even know what the hell the question is.
Your head is swarming with all these crazy thoughts, you’re feeling stressed every day and the worst part is that you know everything you’re thinking is crazy, yet you can’t shut it off.
It’s not how it used to be, right? You used to be able to go to the gym, hang out with friends, or stay in with a good drink binge watching Netflix and all the worries of the world just went away.
You’ve always been able to push through things in the past, you’re a fighter, you’re a survivor, you’ve prove people wrong so many times but now you’re just feeling stuck.
You’re feeling unexplainable guilt, lack of motivation, and you’re losing your cool so often that you’re questioning your own sanity. Is all that shit people say about me true? Am I really worth all the things that I fought so damn hard to get?
You’re letting these thoughts get the best of you. You’re work is starting to slip as you question your ability to deliver. You’re getting into more fights with your partner, friends, and family pushing them away and proving to yourself that no one really wants to be with you.
You’ve buried that badass version of yourself and are struggling to get out of the hole that seems to be getting deeper and deeper.
What if you could change all that. I’ve been there more times than I like to admit and it has taken years to be able to figure out how to reclaim myself and my life. I know my situation is not just like yours and I’ll never pretend to know everything that you’re going through. I’ve laid in bed at night just like you, in near tears because I just couldn’t turn off those thought. But guess what? I’m sleeping like a hibernating bear now!
As your therapist, I want you to get to your happy place a lot quicker than it took me to get to mine. But you have to be ready to deal with your shit.
I’m not about teaching you to cope, that’s what you’ve been doing. I’m about taking you by the hand and guiding you through that shit that you locked in that closet for so many years as you just coped with life.
No band aid solutions here.
Life does not have to keep feeling this way. You need to be able to re-write that story that has been playing in your head for so many years about who you are and what you’re capable of doing and I’m going to help you write, edit and submit the final draft on how you’re going to live your life.
