I am not ya momma’s therapist. Yep you read that right! There will be no lying on couches, unless it’s your own. There will be no inkblots, professional language, or blaming your momma for everything, unless it’s all her fault. I take a laid back approach to things because it’s what’s real for me and I want you to be real with me. I may curse or make strange faces and call you on your shit, but it will always be in your best interest. Now that doesn’t mean I’m not professional. I hold by ethics and code of conduct high but I’m not going to put on this fake façade to work with you. I will share my own experience when relevant and I will let you know if I’ve been through something too. I’m a big believer in self disclosure as I know it helps with the connection that people have with me.
Some may question the way that I go about doing things but guess what, it works. I have gone through shit, experienced life and came out on the other end standing tall and I want to get you to that point too. So many people deal with anxiety on a daily basis, including myself, but I don’t let it stop me and I don’t want it to stop you either. I want to show you how badass you are so that you can deal with past trauma, kick anxiety in the ass and start feeling like that strong woman I know you are.
If you’re asking yourself if I’m legit because I don’t sound like other therapist, the answer is yes. You’re more than welcome and I actually encourage you to go the Texas Department of State Health Services and verify that I’m actually licensed. I started seeing clients in 2007 and have worked with all different populations. I have seen what works and what doesn’t. I have developed a unique set of skills to help you move your life in the way that you want it to go.
