Sabrina Haagenson

Graduate Student Intern

under the supervision of Tia Jennings, LPC-S

Life is a little crazy [to say the least]. It doesn’t help when you are experiencing physical and mental stress. If you are suffering with trouble sleeping, reoccurring and distressing memories, elevated anxiety, excessive or a lack of appetite, troubling thoughts, withdrawal, etc. I am happy to help! Even if the feelings or thoughts are hard to describe, that’s the wonderful thing about therapy, I am here to help you!

Human beings are resilient. So I know you are too, you may just need some tools to help you work through some problems that have seemed to manifest and overwhelm you, or maybe a big life event has turned your whole life upside down? Whether you are doing great or ready to give up, there is no harm in seeing if therapy is right for you!

Hi, I’m Sabrina, graduate student intern.

Throughout my life journey, I have experienced debilitating anxiety, depression, and mental trauma. Do you want to know how I persisted? Therapy. So, I know how hard it is to struggle and ask for help, but it is worth it! Through my battles, I can empathize with what you are going through, and I can share personal tips that have helped along with well-researched interventions.

I have also witnessed other’s trauma and have

helped them physically through my short but insightful work as an EMT-B intern. So there is very little that I have not heard or seen, and if you need to hear this: you are not crazy or alone. I am ready to listen, help, and answer any questions you may have about ways to feel better not only while in therapy, but on a daily basis! Mental health is an ongoing up-hill climb that is hard to manage by yourself, and the strongest people are the ones who ask for help!

My area of interest lies in Trauma and PTSD, with a cognitive-behavioral and holistic therapeutic approach. However, I am happy to help explore other subjects, such as anxiety, depression, and obsessive compulsions, along with other approaches with you!

Empathy, compassion, listening, [and some humor] awaits you! Please do not wait, issues tend to build and persist if left alone. We will go at your pace, with steps that will avoid being overwhelming and should be simple to add to your daily routine!

I received my BA in psychology from Marietta College in Marietta, OH. I am in the final year of my education towards my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of the Cumberlands.

As a therapist intern, I am still learning and evolving with my techniques and experiences. I know it may cause some unsettling feelings to work with me, but I am not alone! I will be working under the supervision of Tia Jennings, and I have the passion to help you evolve, while I am. I am very eager to learn and assist you on your journey, and I am confident that both of us will succeed.

Everyone has something that they may need help with, it is not a burden to others, Please come to me to get help. If you feel isolated or alone, even in a large group, this is the time to have someone in your corner! Someone who will NOT judge you, or make you feel invalidated. No matter your identified or unknown concerns, together we will grow.
