LPC-Associate Supervision

Finding your footing as a Licensed Professional Counselor can be hard. There are so many different certifications and trainings that you can obtain and utilize in changing the lives of those you work with.

But the thing is, it’s hard to know how you really want to operate as a therapist until you get out there and start exploring the populations that interest you and using the tools that you feel are most in tune with your own beliefs regarding the process of change.

In going back and forth with if I would open my doors to LPC-Associates and graduate interns, I wondered if they would be able to get everything that they needed to be successful as a therapist. Then I remembered the lessons I had to learn on my own and how long it took me to ditch the script and do things in a way that was authentic to me.

I built my practice from scratch, working exclusively online since 2018 when people said it wasn’t possible. I’ve been labeled as unprofessional and a rule pusher because I didn’t do things like everyone else.

I decided that it was time that I embrace others that are trying to do things in a way that is true to them. I don’t follow any particular theory and would label myself Post Modern if I had to stick myself in a box. I have a strong belief in putting the needs of my clients first and making sure that they are getting just what they need in order to produce lasting change.

What to Expect

So, here’s what you can expect during supervision with me. My aim is to make sure you not only develop as a professional but also stay true to who you are because your future clients will connect so much better to the real version of you instead of who you think you’re supposed to be as a therapist.

    There are a lot of therapist out there but none quite like you, supervision will help you highlight what makes your special.

  • Meet Requirements

    Making sure all the checkboxes to obtain an unrestricted license are checked will be the primary focus of supervision.

  • Education

    There’s a lot that your education did not prepare you for, supervision will assist you with understanding how to navigate being a therapist.

  • Preparation for Private Practice

    Develop a foundation for private practice so you can work with the clients you want to work with and create a healthy work life balance.

  • Professional Development

    Being able to constantly learn and adapt to the changes in the profession will be focused on during supervision.

Fee Schedule

$350 per month

This is designed for those that are just seeking supervision. This would be good for those that are already employed elsewhere and are not in need of additional hours, experience, or an exchange of service for the reduction of fee. Those associates that are also interested in opening their own private practice are accepted.

Graduate Student Interns

After successfully conducting exclusively online counseling to those in need across the state of Texas since 2018, Live Now Counseling has expanded!!

As a result of the expansion, Live Now Counseling is looking for graduate student interns to be able to not only assist in the growth but to also get their feet wet providing affordable counseling to those in need!
